What types of storage units do you offer in Sauk Rapids?
We offer indoor, outdoor, and vehicle storage units in a range of sizes—from small 10×10 units to large spaces for RVs, boats, and trailers. All units are ground-level for easy access.
Where is your storage facility located?
We’re conveniently located just off Highway 10 in Sauk Rapids, MN, with easy access from St. Cloud, Sartell, and surrounding areas.
How much does a storage unit cost?
Prices start at $75/month and vary based on unit size and type. We offer competitive, transparent pricing—you’ll pay the same as new customers for the same unit, with no surprise rate hikes.
Do you require a deposit?
No deposit is required except on our Large RV Storage Units, which is $100.
Do I need to sign a long-term lease?
Not at all. All rentals are month-to-month, so you can store with us for as long or as short as you need.
What are your office hours?
Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 10 PM. Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.
What are your gate access hours?
You can access your storage unit daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, including weekends and holidays.
Do you offer climate-controlled units?
While we do not currently offer climate-controlled units, our indoor units provide protection from rain, snow, and direct sun. Many customers successfully store sensitive items in these units.

How do I reserve a unit?
You can reserve online 24/7 or call our team during business hours for personal assistance.
What is the cost to move in?
Your rent will be pro-rated based on your move-in date. There is also a one-time $25 admin fee that includes your high-security lock to use while you rent from us.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We pride ourselves on honest, transparent pricing and your rate won’t increase after a few months like many competitors. The only up-front charge is a one-time $25 admin fee, which includes your high-security lock to use while you rent your storage unit.
How do I make a payment?
We set all customers up with auto-pay for convenience. You can update your payment info at any time via your online account.
What is drive-up access?
Drive-up access lets you park your vehicle right at the door of your unit, making loading and unloading easy.
Do I need to bring my own lock?
No need! We provide a high-security combination lock, included with your one-time admin fee. It’s easy to set your own code, and the lock is yours to use for the duration of your rental.
How do I access my unit?
Once you complete your rental, we’ll send your gate code and unit details. Our app even opens the gate automatically when you arrive—hands-free access for your convenience!
Will my rent be prorated when I move out?
No. All move-outs are processed as of the first of the month.
How do I cancel my rental?
We require 15 days’ written notice before your planned move-out. You can submit this through your online account or by visiting our contact us page to send us an email.
How do I complete my move-out?
Simply empty your storage unit, sweep it clean, and leave the lock on the door. Then give us a quick call to confirm—we’ll inspect the unit and close out your account.
Can I change unit sizes later?
Absolutely. If your storage needs change, we’ll help you upgrade or downsize to a different unit, based on availability.

Yes, we perform seasonal pest control treatments including spraying for spiders and Asian beetles.

What security features does your facility have?
We take your security seriously and have the following:
- Gated entry with personal access codes
- Optional app-based entry that opens the gate when you arrive
- 24/7 video surveillance with 25+ cameras
- Motion detectors and bright facility lighting
How do I protect my items while in storage?
We recommend the following:
- Using pallets or shelves to keep items off the floor
- Plastic totes to guard against moisture
- Avoid storing sensitive or irreplaceable valuables
Condensation can occur due to concrete sweating, especially during warmer months. Keeping items off the floor is the best protection.
Do I need insurance?
Insurance is not required but is highly recommended. You can use your own policy or opt into affordable coverage from our third-party insurance partner. Cornerstone is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
Are there items I can’t store?
Yes. Prohibited items include the following:
- Hazardous or flammable materials
- Liquids, explosives, or weapons
- Illegal substances
- Live plants or animals
- Heirlooms or valuables with sentimental value
